So, Sparkplug gave birth to Spike, then? Or did Spike just pop out of thin air? Or was it Midichlorians?
Has to be it, Expectane wouldn't be created until 10 years from then.
Raise your hand if you get the reference At any rate, there's still the possibility that even though we never got see Elita-1's vehicle mode in full glory in the cartoon, there may still be a character model for that mode somewhere in the archives, thus making an MP possible.
But the hitch is that Japanese culture is still a bit on the male-centric side. Arcee may get a MP-release, but only for her role in 2010 as she's "dumbed down" in Headmasters (seriously). Nope, I see the Insecticons and Reflector as more likely to be chosen.
Deflecting! Bad analogy. You jump from a non character when we are discussing an actual character rendered. Accept it, you made a bad analogy. Ever heard of adoption?
But just for the sake of the Star Wars argument'cause back then, Starwars was in Marvel Comics/Production territory in the 1980s but those midachlorian whatchamacallit weren't created yet until 1990.
Anyway, back to hypocrisy or maybe just plain old simple licensing fee issues.
Back during the Binaltech days, VW/Porsche refused Takara the license for the updated VW. Something about being against war toys/anti-war etc. So, Takara years later mentioned something about Tomy having a licensing deal with VW (might have been their Tomica line iirc) as the reason they made MP Bumble a reality.
Now, we're still waiting for Meister, one of the most popular Autobots in G1. Emphasis of "one" of the most popular. Yet we get Tracks instead
. Maybe Chevy wasn't that stuck up with their license. But Meister aka that awesome Porsche race car is still a pipe dream (heck, 3rd party has managed to score 3 versions already).
I hope the issue for the delay is just licensing fees (hopefully Porsche ain't too greedy.......right
) and not that anti war hangup they have. So they are anti war and pro environment yet were caught by the Feds scamming their product's, iirc the modern VW beetle emission exhaust levels with a hacked program or something. In other words, greed got the better of their pro environment stance hence the "hypocrisy" angle.
