They're almost $9 retail in Japan, and smaller/less complex than most $6 Legions are over here. Gotta be due to the licensing, eh? Wish I had anything besides anecdotal evidence to base that on.
The Q-Transformers are mass produced, MPs are not. The licencing cost is more spread out and easily made up for the Q-Transformers while a more limited item like the MPs have to charge more to make up for the cost.
If MP Transformers aren't mass produced, I feel even worse about spending all the money I have on the Masterpiece line

Most people will say that this is good enough:
But to me, she ain't g1 accurate enough, and she's too small. She needs to at least be MP car sized.

I don't understand this sentiment. Why would you feel worse about spending money on an item that is not "mass produced" or, as I assume you mean, rare? Furthermore, Masterpiece figures ARE mass produced. That's how all Transformers toys are made in the factories. That's mass production, period. Yes, the production runs are lower than other toys made for the general consuming public, being that they are geared towards collectors and sold at premium prices, but they are still made altogether in very appreciable quantities at given point in time. Masterpiece figures are not made to order.

Yeah but we're talking MP, not CHUG.

I own that one, and it is my Classics Elita-One. She's right next to my Classics 2006 Optimus Prime and they look great together.
But she's not MP, obviously.

Bingo.

Yet people seem to (incorrectly) assume it's an omission or removal (despite not also complaining about the "omission" of MP-21G's jetpack).

Not even that Lil baggie or paper.
It was inside the instruction sheet.

Then it's either a KO or your seller opened it up to slip in the extra Amazon stuff, because packed-in faces come in their own slot in the plastic bubble, not in the instructions.
Add-on bonuses, obviously, do not.

Is the gradient on the transformers logo incorrect on the KO version? My box has the correct logo
Can you tell me differences between KO and official on the figure itself?
And was the coin amazon exclusive?

I can only figure that this way TT makes money by not including the mask, and offering it at the same price, or more (I assume)
Yeah, if you ask me, the only versions of of this mold, both existing and hypothetical ones, that don't really need the battle mask are the regular cartoon-based MP-21 and a hypothetical (if unlikely) Bug Bite release. All others (G-2 Ver., Red Ver., a hypthetical black redeco, a hypothetical Glyph redeco) would need the battle mask since they'd be based on versions of the original battle-masked toy.Seibertron wrote:Hellscream9999 wrote:Seibertron wrote:Red Bumblebee should have had a regular Bumblebee face and the face shield. Except I don't think the battle mask is offered even at an extra price, which I'd be OK with if they did.
