They were 15$ a piece figures when they came out originally so like all the other reissues they are $30 figures now.

$30 * 5figures = 180$

It could be worse, we could never get a complete new in box Predaking ever.

$165? As in dollars? Now way. New in the box they sell for $300-500 on Ebay, opened but mint in box around $250-$350. 100% complete Vintage out of box goes for around $180-$250

None of those ever contained die cast metal. So yeah, probably never.

Wow..This is going to take some convincing to pick up..Why such a huge price difference between Predaking and the Seacons? Does this predaking contain the metal figures? Totally on the fence on this one..

Yes, every member of Predaking has significant die-cast molding.

Also, each one is between the size of a modern deluxe and voyager. Predaking is very large.

I can't believe BBTS has already sold 568 Predaking's well I guess I can but damn the preorder is going fast.

Also, what is the deal with TFSource, they always seem to be slow at putting up their pre-orders? I'm hoping to be able to order both the Predaking head with Predaking so I don't have to pay for either item till both arrive unlike BBTS where you have to pay once every individual item arrives even though the way BBTS does it is more common.

I'm really, really glad Predaking is back on the market. It's an absolutely wonderful piece of engineering, and it just looks frackin' cool. I'll be waiting to see if there are any differences between this and the last reissue Takara did - if it really is updated I might have to consider. For now though, I'll just be glad I got in when I did.

I don't buy many toys nowadays... but I'm caving in for this one!

I've always heard that they wholesale from BBTS, so they have to wait until their shipments come in, but that was a while ago, so I've no idea why they're so delayed anymore.

I emailed Kurt about the IP TRNS figure and he said they are getting it, but they've not firmed up the details yet.

So, yeah, their preorders seem to be rather slow.

If I get my promotion this year, I'll get him. If not, oh well.

Seeing him more clearly, I am alternately relieved and disappointed. I expected the Animated style of sheen that Takara Tomy has been doing. This matte shine I don't care for. Not that I needed another Predaking.

Trying to debate whether to preorder or wait to try to get him at Botcon next year.

They released Brave Maxiumus (repaint of Fort Max from Car Robots) & Gigastorm (Trypticon retool from BW II) about 10 yrs ago. BM went for $100, if memory serves. I ordered him right away, only to watch his price fall. I thought the same would apply to Predaking, but nope.

@ Counterpunch - Thanks for the pic. I didn't realize he was that big.

Just preordered it. This is by far the most I've ever spent on a "single" figure (Brave Maxiumus cost me $100). I hope I don't regret it. Damn Hasbro for not releasing it here (although the Soundwave set went out before I heard about them).

oh this is going in my collection lol regardless... metal or plastic...
now Id like to see a third party Reflector where they look identical or a reissue...

It's true that they have been reissued. But he said with diecast. Neither of those molds have ever featured diecast content. Hence the reason we say never.

Thank you. I can read. That wasn't the point of my post. I never made a claim that either Brave Maximus or Gigastorm were diecast.
