TBH the more we talk about these guys the more I sort I want to go all completist on these moulds

for clarification.. the RM molds are slightly smaller then the TM molds..

If you look at the TM megatron's thigh plates they are oval, because the difference in height and size neccessitated the rework, as aposed to the RM versions circular Thigh plates..

Now, I'm using the Botcon poster above for reference..
But Megatron according to that poster is tiny compared to the rest of the crew, according to that Mainframe Poster..

My point of view:
For those confused, here is a breakdown of what's been released so far...

The TM-02 Megatron is the best and most accurate toy of him to date, his colors, accurate sculpting, and scale are in line with the Mainframe poster above.. Highly recommended!!
Image

the TM-SP-02 Megatron is a reissue of the original but in anime accurate colors, which in my opinion is a cool throw back to the original release, but in a modern and accurate paint scheme.. I'm getting him for Nostalgia reasons and the gimmicks.. since I don't own the original..he can be ordered through BBTS as a preorder..
Image

The Reborn Megatron is a great rework and a lot more accurate version of the original, and is a perfect buy for those who want a bigger version of their leaders..I wouldn't miss out on this 2-Pack!!!
Image

The original was released way back when Beast wars first debuted, though a different head sculpt an driddled with gimmicks, it's still a nice piece to won for those wanting originals..
Image

the Robot Masters versions were smaller then the TM-02 Megatron and released in a basic color scheme. for Takara's little Robot mnasters line up.. which was kinda like an all encompassing classics line in Japan..but with it's own story..
Image

and AK, Because of this discussion thread, I too am now going to go all completist on this series!!8-}

Wow! I ad no idea the TM version were a smidgen bigger that the RM's, I may have to pic them up. I'm not 100% convinced by Megatrons colours tho they look too dark IMO.

What the, now I'm confused. Thought I had it figured out..

Here is what I have:

1) Optimus Primal with that silly mutant mask, he's old and it's his first toy
- http://www.seibertron.com/toys/gallery. ... =0&start=0

2) Optimus Primal without the silly mutant mask, new head, silverish paint job and came with Megatron (I think it's the 10th anniversary). Same size as above Primal.
- http://www.seibertron.com/toys/gallery. ... =0&start=0

3) Robot Master Beast Convoy.
- http://www.seibertron.com/toys/gallery. ... =0&start=0

Now, who are these new ones going to be remoulds of? "TM" series? I didn't even know about those.

Is this the "TM" version? The smaller one?

If this is true, I will be ticked as I just went and bought RM Beast Convoy and didn't like his head, but bought him because he was smaller, a bit smaller then I would like though.

So these new ones are slightly bigger then RMs and have a paint job comparable tooooooo........ ahh I give up.

The new ones are quite a bit bigger than the RMs they are the full size original moulds that were remoulded for the BWR set. Theres a size comparison with the slightly bigger than the Robotmaster TM version of Primal above this post. If you get what i mean?

Ah ok, yes. Excellent. That means I don't have to buy him. I have enough big Primals.. haha

Actually I'm liking Primal's head. May have to think about it. Darn.
