who said I agree with it in essence, in actuality the only part I agreed with was that the BWR figures should have been included in the TM line up..the rest of what you said was that you didn't understand where i was going with my G-1 analogy.. I'm sorry that you lack the Mental capacity to understand where I was going.. basically G-1 has a bazillion reissues, and most people who bash the Primal and Megs reissues, are probably G- fans who hypocritically bash Takara's reissue choice..

I can break it down into fourth grader terms if that's not too plain... 8)

I already own reissues from Takara, the Dreamwave boxed collection ones.... these encores are just another set released in the last 5 years.. that I really don't need...so I'm thankful for the Beast Wars reissues from Takara, cause I missed out on Beast Wars years ago.. to me, the encore stuff is over hyped.. and not on my target list.. that's what I meant..

Oh and most G-1 Dealers at comics shops and display stands are jerks...that part too...

also whose next on the interview slot??

Finish your cereal.

All name calling and thinly veiled insults should be directed to me.

And for the record, only Convoy has numerous and continuous reissues. He's freaking Optimus Prime. That's all the damn reason he ever needs to be reissued.

I'm Sorry AK, if you took my statement as condescending, It really wasn't directed at you or anyone in that way.. I was trying to illustrate that the Reissues, though very disappointing, was valid and not an excessive release of the Molds.. the prior releases have been under different Banners, so in this case it's under one banner.. now if they do an "Encore" of Beast Wars, then I'll have to say Enough!!!

Dude, I apologized already earlier, and you kept spitting out crap at me!! And my statements weren't matter of fact but opinions, which I even reiterated in my apology statement..If anyone was being unreasonable its been you... I was simply trying to have a conversation and you chose to turn it into "who's the smarter person"...or "look at skywarp-2 being an ass, lets see how far I can push him until he gets pissy"...

I was and still am trying to just have a polite conversation..and discussion.. :-(

Here is another thing I don't understand, you can have a conversation, and a person take what you say as you being a total ass, but in reality, all you were doing was voicing your opinion or in a discussion.. how the hell do they know your being condescending anyways?? It's not like you have a voice with emotional feedback behind it!!! Come on, it's all in perception of the sentence.. Now the Blatent remarks about intelligence were hateful, yes, and you couldn't mistake that tone... but as far as the rest, it's really a perception on the other person's Part, so granted I apologized for that perception, but is it really my place to do so?? Why should I apologize for someone elses misunderstanding of my statements?????

does anyone else feel like this sometimes.. like they are expected to say sorry, for someone elses misconceptions about some statement you make??

Uh, this is skirting all that...

But hey SkyWarp2, that was an awesome post, I realy like how you went the extra mile and added the visuals.

I myself am a huge BW fan, but will most likely pass on these as I have alot of multiples on these guys now.

But on the topic of the visuals, I have to say the only thing I see wrong with Reborn Megs is the bucket helmet, they scaled it down to much for my tastes.

What I'd like to see is, the origional molds helmet(less the mask, with reborns face. Proper paint aps, and that would be awesome.

I think the retool departments are ont the right track, but since they've already gone this far, I see no point in letting them get lazy now!

I wish I had better kitbash talents, cause I'd love to have that.

Anyhow, thanks, that was a fun read.

That's Beasts Wars Reborn Megatron, he was remoulded with a new head and no mutant mask. The new megs uses the original mould with the original head and mask only repainted to look more like the BWR figures.

I too thought that the Reborn Megatron had some issues with that Smaller helmet sculpt, but in all fairness it's not that bad..I am glad that you enjoyed my little "difference review" of what the new Megatron TM-SP will most likely be, and how it will differ from the other releases already out.

Actually that version you are ordering through Amazon.com is the TM-2 Version which is already released, it was the repaint of the Robot Masters Mold.. the way you can tell is the legs have the correct Show Accurate Molding, versus the Reborns..and the Reborn Megatron only comes ina 2-Pack with Optimus Primal Reborn. To date I have no knowledge of them releasing the reborn's seperate..

Here is a cartoon Image:

Here is the Reborn megatron and the TM-02 Megatron:
Image

That one you ordered is a great buy, and to date In My Opinion, the Repainted Robot Masters Megatron TM-02, is still the best and most accurate Megatron from the entire Beast Wars toy line up, and he's only available through the TM-Reissues line.. Reborn is great, but isn't excactly accurate, doesn't have a left hand that detaches from the tail, but is a large and a fun buy as well...

My favorite is the smaller, but in scale to the rest of the deluxe Beast wars toys, and super cartoon accurate, TM-02 Megatron!!
Image

YESSSSSsss!!!.....
Image

Oh, I forgot to add one more thing.. I think there has been a Misconception about the TM-02 Megatron.. he's not just a straight repaint, he was also a remold.. His size scaling was slightly increased to fit into the Deluxe line up better, and his arms and some other parts were retooled to give him the most Accurate to the cartoon Body ever produced.. Here are some comparison shots Ryan did with the Robot Masters version and the TM-02 Version..

Image

You can see the big difference between the 2 Molds.. I'm quite taken with the TM-02 Megatron and May buy another just for Play value, heck he's only 25 Bucks!!

Yes you're right my mistake. I though it might be the TM version but I could quite tell, I only have the original RM and the original and the BWR version of the larger mould. I saw no point in buying the TM versions.

Something I did want to ask is do people really think the TM repaints of the RM moulds offer inscale versions of Primal and Megatron to the original BW line? I pretty sure they are way too small TBH. Prime and Megatron were always bigger that say Cheetor and Waspinator. If anything it was figures like Rhinox and Terrorsaur that are out of scale not Prime and Megatron?

Anotherthing this brings up is when the BW reissues recently hit, I passed on Megs and Primal thing they where the exact same as the RM versions, but especialy in that smaller scale, he realy does look awesome.

May have to shell out a few bucks next payday!

Again, thanks

That's easy the Beast Wars reborn set are far and away the definative versions of these characters (untill they extend the Masterpeice or classics line to Beast ways that is ). Their in show accrate colours, they have show accurate faces with no mutant masks and they have much more paint detailing than any other version. Plus they got a US release so they should be too hard to get a hold off.

Yeah he's quite smaller then he should be.. too bad they didn't take the TM-02 Version and make it a bit larger, It would have been nice if they had resculpted the Reborn version to have the accurate thighs, and a removable tail, with those nasty little wholes in the chest removed...

so for scale the Reborn is cool, or is it?????... for Likeness and cartoon accuracy I say thet TM-02 is the best..so far..or is it also in scale??

yeah I see that there is some scaling differences.. what's weird is that I have an image from the Cartoon of Primal being the same size as the rest of his group with Rhinox towering over them... If Prime's the roughly same size as Megatron when they fight, then Megatron isn't as huge as we thought...

This is wikipedia's take on it..

Yes you're right my mistake. I though it might be the TM version but I could quite tell, I only have the original RM and the original and the BWR version of the larger mould. I saw no point in buying the TM versions.

I thought that there wasn't a point in buying the TM version either, until I got him, I compared him to my Robot Masters Version and was like Holy Shi%%!! I found that the TM-02 Version was exceptionally larger and more color and cartoon accurate then ever, and over time I came to like him best, which was tough cause I mostly like the larger versions for my leaders.. But yeah they are smaller.. and Rhinox and Terrorsaur should be the correct hieght..but I guess scale has always been an issue in our transformers toys..

Now I'm not a Botcon Attendee, but there were these posters especially renedered by Mainframe Entertainment for the Botcon 2001 attendees, it shows that Megatron and Optimus Primal's scale is kinda small...which makes me feel better about the TM versions..

Yeah my posts are long winded, but hey that's me, everyone knows I'm a bellower!!

Liege Evilmus wrote:Anotherthing this brings up is when the BW reissues recently hit, I passed on Megs and Primal thing they where the exact same as the RM versions, but especialy in that smaller scale, he realy does look awesome.

May have to shell out a few bucks next payday!

Again, thanks

Your welcome!!! Yeah don't pass them up, they really are larger then the RM versions, and they are remolded in slight areas for accuracy to the cartoon.. and if you look closely at the Botcon 2001 Mainframe team posters up top, you really see how small the Optimus Primal and Megatron's were in the cartoon.. and that is according to Mainframe!! Dude, take it from me.. they are really great toys!!

Just to clarify, the existing TM versions of Prime and Megatron are simply repaints of the Robotmasters versions, they are not bigger, or am I wrong on that?

TBH the more we talk about these guys the more I sort I want to go all completist on these moulds
