Trailer, They couldn't just release the MP Prime trailer with him?

About an ounce. That's the biggest reason for me saying this is a mistake of some sort. No Ultra Magnus so far matches with what they are selling. We would have seen MP Magnus at Botcon if they had plans for releasing him in the US.

short answer not much...but almost enough to get that 20th closer to that 6lb range....Transformers the movie is .21 lbs so that puts it at what 5.28lbs?

That's why I think this is a messed up listing. Like it has nothing to do with Ultra Magnus. Only thing I can think of is that it might be a case of Titanium Ultra Magnus figures. 3 or 4 of those would come in at that weight and would also be about the right size.

Oh gosh this just confusing the crap out of me. How can it weigh that much? Maybe it's going to be a 2-pack with Star scream? Anyone have any idea how much MP screamer weighed in package?

Ulta Magnus is among the most revered of the Autobots. When he became leader of Autobot City, after the loss of Optimus Prime, Ultra Magnus showed the Decepticons the meaning of courage. The Autobots accepted Ultra Magnus as their leader and looked to him for leadership and guidance. Ultra Magnus represents all that is good in the Autobots and his commitment to vanquishing the Decepticons make him a Transformer to be feared and revered. Made of the highest quality materials, these Transformers are hard to find and will make a great addition to any Transformers collection.

Transformers Collectible Figure:

ACK! This is killing me! There is just no way it MP UM...They would have had it at Botcon or something. It wouldn't just appear on Walmart like...here ya go! This has to be a G1 re-release....maybe all metal? That would be interesting...ALL METAL ULTRA MAGNUS G1! OHHH Chromed! See I go from one fantasy to another. I can't help myself.

I'm really having a hard time with the price. Commemorative Prime was a bit more since most people had to order him from a third party dealer but DVD Prime even with the base was like $55. By the by, if Hasbro didn't want something to get out, it wouldn't get out. It's like pro wrestling; everything that we see is planed to be seen. Even better, maybe during all the movie hoopla this just snuck under the radar?

TRU is still selling DVD Prime for $89.99. MPUM price point doesn't shock me.

So basically what you're telling me is when I saw the figure at $50 I could've bought him and made a killing on Ebay? Nice.

For twice as much? No.

The only thing it could be is MP-02 imported from Japan. As that is just a little unlikely, its just some idiot who f'd up at Walmart.

One of the movie Primes will eventually become Magnus, but I don't think this is the case in this listing. This one has me stumped, though considering how useless the Wal-Mart staff is, I betting it's yet another mistake on their part.

I work at Walmart part time on the instock team and can tell you we have not received any TF's other than the movie figures (which btw we're still getting wave 1 boxes daily). I go back in tommorow and I'll be able to give you a confirmation on what exactly this is and hopefully a pic from the warehouse.

$100US for a reissue the came out at $40 a couple of years ago?!

What a joke, BBTS just mashes it's fat sweaty palm on the keypad to come up with some of it's rediculous prices I think.

It could be a place holder picture...cuz 90 bucks is alot of money to put down for a regular G1 reissue.....but wouldnt they have announced the ultra magnus exclusive at botcon or something? They did with the mp starscream. And isnt the mp ultra magnus just a white mp prime?

You and me both. Yes, they're dependable. Yes, for the most part they're trustworthy.

But their pricing is ridiculous, the Pile Of Loot is just another way to make more money off of you, and their shipping issues. Part of the reason they raised their prices was due to flat rate shipping just killing their wallets. Well, now that it's been abolished in favor of a much more expensive set of services that don't provide quite the same quality...the prices of the items themselves should be dropping like rocks.

Plus, I purchased a figure from one of their clearance sales back in 2005, and it said nothing about the level of quality. Just what the item was, and how much.

So I order, it arrives, and it turns out the box had not only been opened, but it had been smashed in a slight bit. No, I'm not a box collector, and yes I'll be throwing the packaging out, but it's the principle of it, you know? At least tell me up front that I paid this price for a damaged package and that I'm not the first to open it (which is part of the thrill to it all for me.)

I didn't return it because it would end up being more hassle than it was worth, but it left a bad taste in my mouth.

A friend of mine used one of their clearances as well and he also received a damaged package, though his was much much worse. He ordered the E-Hobby Insecticons, and the plastic bubble was ripped so bad, one of them was coming out, and partially taped into the box. (Now you know UPS didn't do that, the carton was still sealed from the moment BBTS shipped it. Because their "Fragile Do Not Drop" orange stickers were still on the seams.)

It's a shame, because they are generally honest, and they are 100% dependable, but with the clearance sale items, shipping costs going through the roof, and prices of the items themselves....it's just not worth it.

Especially when places like Digital Toys are still quite affordable, completely dependable, and 100% honest.

Here is something interesting. BBTS has G1 Ultra mag listed as coming out in august of 2007, and even though it is listed at the rediculous price of $100,it only weighs 2.7 lbs. So it can't be the same as walmarts can it?
