Height, proportions, posability, loose joints and bad die-cast placement.
But yeah, I dont think most people (me included) liked Scourge's alt mode anyway, I still dont know what that thing is supposed to be!
He's pretty much in scale with Classics Cyclonus.
He has three points of articulation in each arm, plus perhaps the wrist swivel. He has at least four points of articulation in each leg and his wings are double hinged. The only thing he lacks is a head swivel and perhaps a waist swivel.
The die-cast placement is great in this toy. It keeps him centered and balanced.
Also, while Cyclonus got what was essentially his original alt mode, with Titanium Scourge you get the same deal and not a modified alt mode.
Why does Cyclonus get to stay the same and Scourge has to change?

1. No he isn't.
2. You already mentioned that he doesn't have a head swivel, so I wont even go there.
3. I cannot be sure about the die-cast myself, as I have never owned one, but most Titanium figures to date have had bad placement of die-cast so it would be easy to assume that it was bad on this one, whether it is or not.
4. It seems that Hasbro has decide to stick with making new alt-modes for characters who's original alt mode was rather obscure or boring (most kids prefer stealth bombers over flying boat things.)
Also what you said does not negate the reported bad quality control and weak plastic on Titanium scourge. Then again, it wouldn't matter if all you're using it for is display. Me I tend to Transform them back and forth constantly when I'm sitting at my desk.

The Botcon one will keep his place in my collection next to Henkei Cyclonus and Universe Galvatron(I don't like this figure either but there's no other alternative in CHUG..).
1. CHUG is a disgusting and terrible term that should be aborted.
2. What's wrong with this guy?

And I do believe G1 Scourge is simply a SPACE!hovercraft.
Edit:
Holy hell Generations alt-mode is very fitting!
It looks a lot like this:

The granddad of all stealth bombers.

1. Please suggest another term because I don't like "CHUG" prety much either, but it's much shorter and easier than typing Classics-Henkei-Universe-Generations each time you want to talk about these toylines...
2. There's nothing wrong with Titanium Scourge(except for being hard to find these days...)but I like the Botcon one more.Mindmaster wrote:Retard of the day is.... me! But seriously though, what's CHUG? If it's THAT inappropriate, just shoot me a PM telling me what it means.
I think now you know all the truth about this disgusting term..

Classics
The only reason the line name gets changed is due to retailers needing new product.

Or actually not wanting products having an "old" name.

Chihuahua/Pug mix? It's a racial slur against Native Americans.

Really? All I've ever heard it used for is downing a drink really fast, ie "chug a beer".
Saying you can't use it for a TF acronym because of some fairly obscure slur just seems kinda weird. Like saying you can't talk about "chink in the armor" because that's got a word in it that's also used as a slur.

Indeed. I just seems more and more often these days we're finding random words we used all the time when we were kids being abused like this.
When I was little, I identified CHUG as onomatopoeia for a train noise. Heck, Wiktionary identifies it as just that. Though yes it is used as some kind abbreviation for certain hybrid dogs (apparently), it really depends on what context you use it in. Anyone could call another person a dog, but if they happen to use an abbreviation for a certain type of dog, suddenly what once was a harmless drinking noise has now become a racist slur.
In short, the word itself really shouldn't offend anyone, but how it's used could.

The dog thing was just me making a joke, sorry I wasn't clear on that. The slur has to do with the disproportionately high prevalence of alcoholism among Native Americans communities, and the resulting stereotypes of Native Americans as frequent consumers/abusers of alcohol. Although I had never heard the term actually used by another human being.
zodconvoy wrote:Half the time I've seen the term "CHUG" used anywhere online, it's used wrong anyway. Usually in reference to a lack of a CHUG Thundercracker or Henkei is better than anything put out in CHUG or other such nonsense. It's a crap term and most of the people using it don't seem to realize that it encompasses the Henkei line. Others seem to think that 3rd Party stuff falls under it as well.
Is Classics or Classicverse that much harder to type?
