It's been a while since my last custom, so it is time to do something about it
Mini Masterpiece Optimus Prime - Videopresentation
First of all, as always, let's have a quick look at videopresentation showing details of the figure, comparisons and WIP process.
When designing new color scheme for this figure I had a few things in mind - cartoon accuracy, deep candy paint, realistic wear and weathering, together with panel lining. For this reason I got rid of silver stripes from the cab and blue ones from trailer. It is very difficult to show the real colour in camera but you need to trust me, that in real life, it completely changed th figure.
Similarly to cab, trailer was also completely redone. I did not like the sea of gray in original, so I replaced it with aluminium and tons of details on both sides. I also removed teal stripes and replaced them with delicate candy detailing. Additional details were painted and the whole trailer weathered to give it more realistic look. Last but not least, I have also completely repainted drone repair station. Funny thing is that when you compare new trailer to the stock one, it is like comparing finished piece with early prototype...
Of course I could not make a final Mini Masterpiece without its roller. That's why I completely repainted it, added new interior, outside details and rims plus drilled exhaust, similarly to what I have done with Optimus smoke stacks.
Robot mode continues style, which is already present in alt mode. Mix of aluminium, candy, washes, weathering and minor damage, which sum up to more realistic look. Here I also changed colours to be a bit more cartoon accurate and repainted the matrix plus added a lot of minor details to make the whole figure shine even more.

...back in my day, you had one alt-mode. ONE! Articulation? why, if you had enough articulation to transform, you had plenty. And if you wanted more articulation, you know what you did about it? NOTHING. You transformed, stood there with your faceplate closed, and your optics sharp, just like everybody else who didn't have ball-jointed this, and swivel-jointed that. And when your were told to, you transformed and rolled out! ...And another thing...
