Just... wow.
I like this one because it's in scale with the other combiners, and that may be what sells this to me. I'm not sure though, because I suspect TFC is going to have to start upping their game, and maybe we'lll start seeing something from them soon on this.

I hope many of you do realize, that TFC's version involves more redesigning and engineering. This is evident in how they incorporate parts of individual bots into parts of the combined form. I assume, it is due to this reason, that they are behind on showing us a completed devastator.
On the other hand, MakeToy may not need as much time since their version is very similar to the classics mold.
Kibble wrote:It's kinda hard to make the claim since we haven't seen all of either (clearly, at least), but I like what I've seen from Hercules better. Better individual bot modes (it appears, anyhow) and looks to better intigrate the combiner aspect. But!...if MT's is roughly half the price and is all released at once, before TFC even gets 2 or 3 of theirs released, I think I'd be forced to buy that and wait and see Hercules finished product before buying any more of it than the Exgraver fig that I already ordered and paid for. That said, this one probably won't come out till 4 or 5 of TFCs have been put out to keep everyone on the fence as long as humanly possible.
TFC, if you're listening...get those last two figs' prototypes out like yesterday and make damn sure the quality of Exgraver is top notch.

I think most people are just irritated that it's been months (at least 5, probably more), and we're basically seeing a lot of the same thing. And considering TFC wants you to buy the first figure now and invest about 600 dollars all together for Hercules, they at least need to reveal all of the figure models so we can see what we'll ultimately get. If they weren't ready to do this, they should have waited.
Oh, and welcome to Seibertron.com! I hope you enjoy participating in this and future forum discussions!

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

MakeToy's version is going to be smaller and fit into a classics collection.(based on the scale set by the previous FP combiners) The TFC one will be massive and present you with the opportunity to place him in any collection or give him a shelf to himself. That's why I ultimately plan on getting both.

Based on the info I've read, TFC's combined mode should be about the same height as this one. It might have more bulk, but the initial claims were it would be 30cm tall combined and the pics of it with known figures seemed to back up those claims. I don't think TFC's will be quite as HUGE as many people seem to think he will be.

They had a picture of a mockup using doubles of Exgraver and the leg fig at Botcon and Hercules is taller than Bruticus by about a scout to deluxe going by the figures next to it in the picture.
...looks like I picked the wrong week to quit collecting toys...

Either this, or the Japanese are just better at making transforming toys since, it is their forte.
PS: Anyone noticed the crevice on the side of devastator's forearm? I assume they can be opened and the fists can be stored inside.
