Heck yeah! :D I can't believe anyone else other than me remembers that show! Oh yeah I also remember that his son in that episode was one of the kids from Jurassic Park. Can't remember that kid actor's name though. He was Philip.

Whit Hertford. He's been in a few other things, recently the voice of Jay Smouse on Adventures in Odyssey (on which Houser had also been several voice roles in years past, most prominently Jellyfish during the Blackgaard Saga and Ben Shepherd both during and after the era of the Novacom Saga).

oddly enough...browsing some of the comments on Youtube from the combined episodes 1&2...most of them seem to be pretty positive. Although to be honest, most of them seem to come from fans/friends of the voice actors & youtube community, they all seem to know who the VA for Menasor and Computron are....

Oh man. Adventures in Odyssey was another huge thing for me when I was a little bugger. McGee and Me, and Adventures in Odyssey man.

Anyway, back on topic I guess...

I really am not sure what the heck is going on in the story of this cartoon. Alright so, they asked Megatron to come along for WHAT REASON EXACTLY? Also, How the heck did Devastator just appear out of nowhere? The animation style is pretty good, and I like the theme, but COME ON the story just makes no sense so far. It's too cliched, and it doesn't even do the cliche right.

Adventures in Odyssey

McGee and Me

 Someone else knows these things!!

.... I should probably say something about Combiner Wars, but it's just impossibly dull. Like it's not even stupidly violent or amazingly corny or anything, there's simply nothing particularly memorable about it.

Episode 6 - https://www.go90.com/profiles/va_996b5915acc646f1af528e1d5c609e7a

Well, Rodimus ain't dead and the random Devastator appearance from last episode got a little more explanation here... but then suddenly Victorion shows up out of nowhere and with no formal introduction of any kind, so anyone who didn't watch her prelude would have no idea who she is.

Then when things go from bad to worse, the Council decides to use the Enigma. It rejects Rodimus... for no given reason, and the Mistress says her Camien physiology makes her unable to use it, so the duty then falls to Starscream. Rodimus says he trusts Starscream... but anyone with an ounce of brainpower should know that the phrase "trust Starscream" is an oxymoron (at least, when it comes to any of the G1 iterations of the guy), and said trust comes back to bite Rodimus in the butt as Starscream embraces the tempting power of the Enigma and uses it to pull a Cybertron Starscream and make himself combine with the dead bodies of Computron and Menasor, as well as the still-living Devastator and Victorion (meaning the latter only shows up just to get absorbed by Starscream).

And all the while, Megatron remarks of how absolutely predictable this whole was, to which I agree with NO FREAKING DUH!

Seriously, this episode completely undermined any and all intrigue it had in what it was doing with Devastator taking his own initiative, and then brought in Victorion unannounced only to completely waste any potential she had, by having Starscream take ginormous step back in his perceived character to recoil to his powerhungry backstabbing self that we've seen done a million times before. It's not interesting or cool, it's unnecessary backpedalling done for the sake of either a lazy reaching for the nostalgic Starscream archetype, a cheap surprise that anyone who knows what kind of character most Starscreams are could see coming a mile away, or both. It didn't make him cool, it made him regress from whatever progression had been done to his character beforehand.

This show, I swear. :BANG_HEAD:

ok..so intellectually I knew it was Tuesday, got into work...and somehow forgot to watch this first thing as I normally do. So...I know this is probably not going to be popular...but this is IMHO the best episode so far (not that the others have been great but...) we actually *almost* get to see a combiner battle (something we haven't seen since episode 1) . I would have liked to see a little more of the Dev/Vic Battle before Starscream started using the Enigma.

Starscream making the "Ultimate Combiner" out of combiners...is honestly something similar to what my 10 year old son thought up...and I probably would have thought was cool at that age as well (not with Starscream of course)...but he suggested a ..."combiner of combiners" (Optimus Maximus Body, and Computron, Defensor, Superion, and Victorion as "limbs") then I remembered the Autobot Scrum Combination (TF Wiki it)

The one thing that did bother me...I know we cant compare series...but in RiD Windblade could not pull up Optimus herself, as in one season 2 episode he was hanging off a cliff and needed the Minicons help to keep him from falling...

Yet in this series, she almost effortlessly carries both Prime & Megatron. :???:

based on some questions from panels at earlier conventions here is my hope/prediction
Omega Supreme, Metroplex, or some other Titan will be raised to combat this "Ultimate Combiner"

Motto: "'till All Are One"
You know whats crazy, I was wondering which Megatron this take was referencing and I couldnt come up with it. While Megs is my favourite, he rarely has any warmth or charm. In G1 he was just the leader, like an evil prime, but with terrible schemes. In the movies, he feels very distant, just a tyrant with not much for goals or personality aside from beig he bad guy and wanting Prime and everyone else dead (also very easily influenced by victoria secret models). In Animated, he is very grave and menacing. He is menacing in Prime as well but with a more strategic sense which makes him feel more cold than other versions, he really feels more like a general there. And in MTMT he is just solemn, there is no cheer there.

So why does this more fun Megatron personality fits so well for me? And then I got it. This guy has that more playful angle I remember from Beast Wars Megatron. Not as regal, of course, but far more flowery and animated than other versions of the character and closer to that one. I always likd that personality on megs and it always fit very well.
