After seeing one of the covers for Devastation #6 Im going to go out on a limb and say that Galvatron takes out the Reapers since they are only loose unintertwined thread in the current storyline.

Galvatron will be face to face to with Megatron and while I dont think Galvatron will be killed or anything he will leave Earth for whatever reason.

All Hail Megatron will be feature the Dinobots, Sunstreaker Headmaster, Soundwave, possibly Hound's unit and the Decepticons. Headmaster Sunstreaker will go heads up with Scorponok and I think Scorponok leaves Earth after another round with Ultra Magnus. And Starscream latest plan while aptly timed fails again.

Man, Devastation #6 was a read and a half. Some questions answered, more lingering plot threads ongoing...but a damned good story nonetheless. Hunter/Sunstreaker finally get going, the head of the Machination is confirmed/revealed, the Decepticons suffer two losses in the fight against the Reapers, Nightbeat starts to realize all isn't well with him, more follow up on Hound's unit, Hot Rod takes matters into his own hands, and things remain muddled about Sixshot.

I'm starting to wonder if the Dead Universe's total killing effect (like what happened to the mech in Nightbeat's spotlight) is only spread by touch...based on what we see Galvatron do in this issue.

I must say that after seeing J'hiaxus i was somewhat dissapointed, EJ's designs have both grown on me and improved over time, however J'hiaxus, (either being directed to by character design or his own artistic license) looks like some ungainly clunker who has a sleek alt mode that just fell apart and the result what his robot mode.

I've never been a huge fan of the movie designs or the gundam effect with the legs and J'hiaxus really sticks out as one of these. With this image (granted theres only one so i may change my mind) i found it very hard to connect with the established character from the G2 days.

I know that the characters are not the same, but I'd been so hyped up and felt let down by the delivery as if anything he reminded me of that disfigured troll from 300.

Anyway that aside, I'd loved seeing Scorponok in action as a mangled head. I now CANNOT wait for the conclusions that are going to happen in revelation.

More than ever Skywatch are now sooooo gonna get flattened most prob by Grimlock

I actually liked Jhiaxus' look...he has that hunchbacked, mad-scientist thing going on, which totally fits his personality and what's been established about him, story-wise.

That WAS a good shot of Scorpy's head, wasn't it? It was actually kind of gruesome.

Hells yeah...most of these characters finally have an edge to them again...which makes the reading that much better. And something tells me that Grimlock's going to be even more of a hardcase in his spotlight...

Hmmm... be that as it may, I'd grown up with the J'haixus character being the equal or superior to the mighty megatron, now I cant help but see him as some worthless hunchback.

As for Megatron's character, it was good to see some of megatron's trademark quotes being used, I know he has had a one to one with Prime, but I've missed seeing all the cheesy quotes about people inviting death by challenging him and his arrogance shining through.

The battle scene with the reapers is my favourite scene of the entire IDW series to date. I expect some new cons to enter the fray now as with losing runabout, runamuck and sixshot and his presence known on earth megatron needs the extra firepower.

I wonder how i will cope this summer without the ongoing ark, one hopes that the spotlights will be enough to keep me going....

Oh ok. I never read the G2 issues, they were always sold out.

Do you think they Head Master process will lead to Target/Power Masters?

Wow, Spotlight: Mirage was a real headtrip. Was irritated that it seems to be set in advance of the main-story. Unless of course, Mirage has been on Earth at the same time as the other Autobots this entire time, which seems plausible given his function.

I was bothered that his alternate mode wasn't justified or changed, until I realized that he can probably holographically alter his vehicle-mode's appearance.

As far as the main story, I was just thinking, it's cool that the climax doesn't seem to be heading toward a battle with one super-powerful bad-guy, but rather with a small group of very-powerful badguys.

Nemesis Prime - Leader
Jhiaxus - Mad Scientist
Galvatron - Operative
Thunderwing - Living Weapon
Sixshot - Living Weapon

That's a pretty well balanced, high-end team of villains, that kind of reminds me of the Liberators in Ultimates 2. I think they need one more guy though to round out the team. Monstructor would be too much though I think. Maybe Scorponok? He's kind of redundant after Jhiaxus though. Oh... upgraded Starscream? He'd fit in well.

Shockwave is with the Dynobots in Skywatch custody for the moment but who knows when he'll be back. I'm betting the reason they don't use Shockwave right now is that his systems were fried worse than the Dynobots were because they were in stasis lock when Grimlock set the ship to blast the battlefield.

I think the Target masters will come out of the fact that the Action Masters were the guards and led the Combaticons at the Garrus-9 prison in Spotlight Arcee. Since their partners are labeled as Targetmasters and Jetfire's there, when Optimus Prime gets there, he'll want new security measures in place to prevent another attack like Banzitron's.

I'm just glad that we'll get to see more combiner technology and the Micromasters in Revelation and the stories coming up. We'll get answers as to why Jihaxus would make miniature Transformers

Has anyone considered with this advancement in Gesalt technology we could soon be seeing a fair few groups undergoing this process?

I like how they have started off with Monstructor as a sixset so as far as all the Bots and Cons know, it needs six, not five to be able to work.

I'm very excited thinking about how much we've seen of the dinobots and predacons, both of them have similar alt modes on cybertron and both seem to a bunch of badass warriors, we're due a smackdown sooner or later between these two groups and without Predaking to even the odds this could go either way.

I personally was never happy by the way the dinobots were the only major 5piece team that didnt combine, I'm not saying I really wanted this to happen, but I was annoyed that it was always dismissed by the fandom.

Granted its a bit fanwanky saying they MUST combine because there a 5 piece, but with all these groups coming into play it would be nice if it was explored in more detail.

I'm half wondering with all the curve balls like non headmasters becoming headmasters in this continuity we could see random groups of autobot & decepticon "units" becoming gesalts.

Something like the wreckers being given a gesalt mode or perhaps the seekers??? With everything else going on I'm not expecting the obvious as the story develops

Perhaps refinement of the combiner technology will mean that the process will work better with only 5 components?

Since some of the Technobots were horribly damaged in the Garrus 9 assault, I assume it will not be long before Jetfire has turned them into the first Autobot Combiner.

Just a general question; do we think Galvatron has taken Sixshot with him? And a follower; has he taken him under orders to Nemesis, or is he keeping him for himself?

Question One: Most definitely.

Question Two: Not sure...didn't seem like NP or Jhiaxus had any clue about him being brought back with Galvatron.

I've been wondering if Galvy took Sixshot with him too...and I wouldn't be surprised if he did.

That said, I had the thought yesterday...regarding Nightbeat, what if Galvatron did the memory alteration to him WITHOUT Nemesis Prime knowing about it? There were at least two Dead Universe 'cons there (excluding the Micromaster team), and they were talking about the Expansion. One of them, according to Furman, was Galvatron. I've been wondering who the other one was, though. Was it Jhiaxus? Doubtful, since he seems to be Nemesis' loyal second. Was it Cyclonus, since he seems to be a DU character (as indicated by the recently shown cover with Hardhead)?

More food for thought, maybe...

So Revelation/Spotlight: Hardhead is a follow on of Spotlight: Nightbeat and Revelation/Spotlight: Doubledealer is a follow on of Spotlight: Hotrod.

Doubledealer's will be very interesting, I'd like to know how the hell he has been tampering with the Autobot forces, supplies and missions. Love to find out if he had anything to do with the attack on Garrus 9.

One thing that I've been mulling over about his is the fact that he's in with Banzaitron and his lovely little bunch. Now, we know from SL: Hot Rod that Banzaitron wants The Magnificence, an artifact that Hot Rod recovered from the ruins in that issue. But, what I want to know is where is it now? Have they disclosed that data in the comics yet? I mean, there's no telling what this thing can do, ya'know?

I have not read or seen any other mention of it sinc e Spotlight: Hotrod. I took it as being a one off item, purely used in the Spotlight issue, but with now that it appears that nothing is just "used" then disappears in this Furmanverse, I guess we will be seeing it again sometime soon.

It'd be cool if Hot Rod ends up using the Magnificence again at some point...although we're not sure where he hid it, and he's currently stuck on Earth. Probably a plot point that Doubledealer's spotlight might deal with?
