I loved that shot of Scorponok! It quite leads one to believe he's a bad mutha.....which is the truth!
Doctor Reggae wrote:I actually liked Jhiaxus' look...he has that hunchbacked, mad-scientist thing going on, which totally fits his personality and what's been established about him, story-wise.

Hmmm... be that as it may, I'd grown up with the J'haixus character being the equal or superior to the mighty megatron, now I cant help but see him as some worthless hunchback.
As for Megatron's character, it was good to see some of megatron's trademark quotes being used, I know he has had a one to one with Prime, but I've missed seeing all the cheesy quotes about people inviting death by challenging him and his arrogance shining through.
The battle scene with the reapers is my favourite scene of the entire IDW series to date. I expect some new cons to enter the fray now as with losing runabout, runamuck and sixshot and his presence known on earth megatron needs the extra firepower.
I wonder how i will cope this summer without the ongoing ark, one hopes that the spotlights will be enough to keep me going....

Lol...I remember Jhiaxus being a badass in the initial Marvel run too...I seem to recall that he had a honkin' big axe that he nearly did Blaster in with...

Lord Unicron wrote:Yeah the Classic Pretenders only used their shells when they first appeared and during the Matrix quest. After that I don't recall seeing them. The Pretender Beast opened up when they were shown. I can't recall Thunderwing at all out of his shell. Bludgeon did in "Primal Scream" but I think that was the only one.

Bludgeon did come out of his shell again when he fought G2 Megatron in the Marvel G2 comic which was a continuation of Of G1. Landmine, Thunderwing, and Cloudburst were the only other besides the Pretender Monsters to leave their shells in the original comics more than once besides Jazz Grimlock, Bumblebee, and Starscream.
skyshadowprimus wrote:I must say that after seeing J'hiaxus i was somewhat dissapointed, EJ's designs have both grown on me and improved over time, however J'hiaxus, (either being directed to by character design or his own artistic license) looks like some ungainly clunker who has a sleek alt mode that just fell apart and the result what his robot mode.

Oh ok. I never read the G2 issues, they were always sold out.
Do you think they Head Master process will lead to Target/Power Masters?
Did I miss something? We have seen Grimlock unearth but where is Shockwave?

Now, we know from SL: Hot Rod that Banzaitron wants The Magnificence, an artifact that Hot Rod recovered from the ruins in that issue. But, what I want to know is where is it now? Have they disclosed that data in the comics yet? I mean, there's no telling what this thing can do, ya'know?
