Axe. It's an Axe. A twin bladed (if not short bladed) Axe. Though I suppose he could use it to "whomp" the cons

New movie toys=win
New classics=win
New Robot heroes=win

TF:Animated=horrible fail.

I'll give the show a chance, but that doesn't stop the toys from looking like suck.

Not fussed with the Animated Primes, but otherwise that line is looking very good, the disproportioned figures look good, even Bulkhead who is all chest and arms is decent.

Classics Octane is beautiful.

Love the new classics.

If that Osprey for the movie line has actual hands, I'm down. If not, I'll pass. The dune buggy guy is pretty cool.

The only one of the Animated toys I'm interested in is Starscream, but I don't like the head. The rest are too childish looking... but still better than Armada.

Even tho the repaints are easy cash ins, I'm loving voyager G1 movie Prime. The Animated figs are nice, can't wait to get my hands on em. But what stole the show for me were the Classics. Goodbye balanced checkbook, haha.

The jury is still out as far as the animated series toys are concerned for me. It seems where the movie were TOO messy and 'realistic', the cartoon is TOO simple and unrealistic.

Ahh well, tis early days yet, I may well end up liking the toys, same as I actully like most of the movie toys I've seen thus far.

i'm exact opposite of everyone here....

movie line....couldn't care less. incinerator, maybe.

classics...ok i agree here, i love the bro-bots!! octane, while very cool, doesn't impress me much. but maybe

Animated stole the show!!! i love it! Not sure about the cartoon, but i think it will be at least watchable (which will put it way better than any part of the unicron trilogy). Big fan of Bumblebee (but a bit too much like the classics version i already have), love Blitzwing and the Dinobots, MEGATRON HAS AN ARM CANNON!!! ABOUT F'N TIME!!! Still like his classics version better, but we'll see the show first. Soundwave is definately wierd, i'm not sure, but i think i love the guitar. Prime is the only 'biggie' i'm not too fond of, and i have about a million versions of him already.....ok, maybe like 5, but it's enough. Starscream is cool. don't care for prowl, but only because he's named prowl. if he was entirely new, i'd prolly like him more. i was hoping the green guy would be hound, but no dice. (i love hound).

great news!!

ps- anyone think the original intention with nightwatch prime was an ultra magnus repaint, till Hasbro found out people are sick of optimus/magnus repaints?

Well, the animated line is OK, pretty much exact clones of what the toys are expected to look like in the 'toon. While I'm not a big fan of the "TT" inspired deformations, they do have an element of cuteness to them and will make the TFs at least decent to look at if the series has actual good plots.

Classics: Octane is on the "must get" list, the brothers (Sunstreaker / Sideswipe) are alright, biggest putoff for me is that they lost their Countach inspiration in favor of a whatever-junk-Lamborghini's-building-these-days inspiration. Yeah, it keeps in flavor with the rest of the line (all the other Autobots have been updated to "current" car models), but I am a fan of the Countach and deserve to grumble once in a while... :P

awesome.. toys that looklike the toons. Hmm.. at least kids who grow up on this cartoon won't suffer like G1'ers had to play with "bricks" :)

I can sympathize with the pessimists more over the animated toys than usual. Both modes are a bigger break than traditional design aesthetics than even the movie toys, IMO. Don't care for the Deluxe Optimus at all, but the rest have promise. Starscream, Blackarachnia and Grimlock are awesome, others might grow on me.

What the heck is Megatron's alt mode supposed to be? I've seen it described as a vert-takeoff Cybertronian jet, but the screenshot seems to have engines on top -- unless it's upside down. I could almost see him being a triple-changer, though. If you folded that alt mode up it could make a sweet Galvatron-esque cannon.

My faith in Hasbro has been restored. These designs are cool especially the Sideswipe and Sunstreaker figures. Oh, and octane is the bomb!!!

Poor animatied toy Starscream, looks more like a Thundercracker Jay Leno. But the animatied series are still not that bad, they're kinda cute. I still don't think the movie line deserves my money.

Animated Toys looks great. High quality design and finish. (Except the heads)

But i doubt Hasbro will give us these toys as is. I mean with those beautiful painting all over each bot.

Most likely, these are just preview models. The actual toys to be mass-produced will probably have the base plastic colors are their final colors, without the painting. Only a few spot of actual painting here and there.

Just like Classic Starscream when i first saw it in pictures, it was awesome. The painting was just magnificent. But the actual toy came in bare plastic color. (Uneven light gray plastic passing off as the silver or chrome color) Looks kinda cheap.

Movie line is 6000 times better than New Animated Barf. I hate this more than anyone hated the movie in any post or thread on the net. Classics is BA as usual. Octane ...........................................Oh yeah the new Animated stuff looks like poop ran over.

I certainly enjoy the classics line and am greatly pleased that Hasbro has finally listened to their customers (since they rarely do) and decided to release more.

My one beef is repaints. It drives my nuts buying the same toy that has a different color scheme. I guess I would not mind as much if there was at least one unique feature per repaint (i.e. different mold for the head) but that rarely happens. I mean I would have enjoyed the classics Cliffjumper if they had just given him a different head.

Hopefully, from the concept art I have seen of Sunstreaker and Sideswipe, Hasbro has learned their lesson, but only time well tell.

Can Hasbro make a new head of Classic Cliffjumper, and sell it as a separate item? Just like the MP Prime Trailer sold separately for those who bought MP-01.

I would gladly but it!
