Weapon: Switch Blade Tail
Wow. Until I saw that picture of Starscream in plastic...I..I...have no words.

-_- Ugh.

Movie: Some good stuff. Bumblebee as Cliffjumper I didn't see coming, because they're making so many Bumblebee figures I figured the mould would be paste by the time they were done and repaints would be out of the question. Looks like I was wrong. Doesn't interest me, but I'm happy for those that like it. The upcoming 'non-show' movie toys look spiffy in general, but the VTOL jet looks a bit weird with the rotors for hands and Evac is a bit sore on the eyes for my tastes. I heartily approve of replacing Scorponok with a dinghy for the Autobot Rescue Repaint. Now if only they could remould the insides to make the automorph feature do what it's supposed to do...

Classics 2.0: Classics doesn't excite me that much, since I'm lucky enough to own most of the original characters and I usually consider TF to be homage-packed enough without a whole line dedicated to it. However... Octane? Sludge and Snarl? Galvatron? Why the hell not! More stuff like Bumblebee, Mirage, Megatron and Jetfire is most welcome!

Animated: New, different AND fun? Halleluia! These guys are nicely distinctive from everything else in my room. I'll have to clear a shelf to put them on :)

those who are feeling that the animated toys are too kiddy looking should take a look at gen one, once the ex diaclone and microman toys were out the way early on the new TF specific designs could be considered very kiddy also (even look at predakings seperate bot modes, show those to a 14 year old today and he might giggle at you, an 8 year old will still probably like them), once you stand the animated toys next to some gen 1 I dont think they will look quite so ridiculous.

For me its the classics that are what people have wanted for years, remember the cool TF box art with the toy brought to life, seems to me the classics are that box art come real. I'm just happy there are now 3 distinct lines of TF styles in production, who could ask for more.

Is Starscream blue or is that a Thundercracker repaint? Even if Starscream is blue, I still like it.

All these images do is make me wonder why I bought any movie toys in the first place. (Cliffjumper, c'mon that was too easy, even for you Hasbro.)

Animated looks better than I expected, and I LOVE the toys. Soundwave, Prowl, and Blackarachnia will be mine, oh yes.

New Universe/Classics 2.0 owns me. Owns me hard.

khaotika, i hear you. I bought jazz and barricade that I still like (esp jazz) and ive been looking for new BB, but after seeing the animated toys and those upcoming movie ones, the movie toys are looking very uninteresting, the aesthetic is just off with many of them, they are missing something (some kind of spark-ignore the pun), the animation designs at least have some balls so to speak AND are DISTINCTIVE, the movie toys seem unremarkable and indistinct, the word is dull. Jazz is quite cool and my fave movie toy but compared to say animated grimlock, hers just plain dull.

I usually love what Hasbro releases but most of the animated stuff looks like garbage Bumblebee and Prime especially. I have to say Soundwave and Starscream look cool though. I'll end this with I love the Classics concepts, and can't wait till they come out.

For all the dullness some of the movie toys have, you do get someone like Leader Prime, who is one of the more interesting takes on Prime in a long time. "Real World" color schemes and designs are okay, but there's something to be said about adding a splash of color to make it more dynamic. It's probably why I like Voyager Ratchet so much.

If anything, these new images make me a more choosy consumer, and that's a good thing.

....alright, they've convinced me. I think I may just enjoy this Animated line.

I can't even begin to comment on all the awesome in that picture gallery... but CLASSICS 2.0 AND MOVIE EVAC! WOO-HOOOOO!

As for the Animated toys, they're interesting. I'd get them. My wallet is crying like a baby right now. :P

I'm really digging the Animated Figures. My question is if there is Soundwave, will Lazerbeak be far behind?

According to the Hasbro panel, Soundwave's guitar is Lazerbeak, it transforms!

Classics look AWESOME(though I wish they did Blitzwing instead of Octane); can't wait to see the toys.

Movie toys.... well, they're more movie toys, not much to say there.

Animated....

They are WAAY too deformed in both modes(for most). I really liked Bumblebee in Robot mode till I saw the alt; it looks like something from the Playskool Go-Bots line. Wow. Blackarachnia looks OK, but nothing to scream about for me.

And the Dinobots... poor, poor Grimlock; that face looks like crap.

Animated Pre -Earth Prime just screams transtech to me.

Soundwave's nice, if they'd have given Bulkhead legs, he'd be awesome. And slag looks good, though I think I'll stick to Classics Grimmy.

Cliffjumper is probably the pinnackle of repaints. But what happened to Sideswipe not being a reapint of Sunny? (Or versey-vicey)

AND HEY! A MOTORCYCLE BOT WITH SOME BODY!

Exactly how I feel. Kind of feel like I wasted money but with no Marvel Legends thanks to Hasbro also being poopy in that regard I had nothing else to buy. I only "really" wanted '08 Bumblebee, Arcee, Jazz(got him, disappointing) and Voyager Prime and Arcee but ended up getting a load more...

I'll get ARcee, BUmblebee, and Thundercracker and that's it.

The only ones I like so far are Classics Octane ,and Sideswipe. Still they couldn't do right Suntreaker. He doesn't have the same transformation as Sideswipe. Sunstreaker's feet are the front of the car, the roof of the car is his chest. Sideswipe is the one with the front for a chest ,and the back of the car for his legs. Well atleast they got him right for once. Atleast he doesn't transform like Tracks anymore.

They "Claimed" at Botcon that the two would be different. Too much to hope for I guess

TF: Animated!

I'm going to get every one. I was worried the designs we saw wouldnt translate well into toys. But these toys look freaking awesome. Nice new aesthetic for the TF Brand.

Wow, little late to the show but I gotta say...

OCTANE IS SEX...ON THE BEACH!! I feel like Eric Cartman after he got a million dollars in his grandma's will.

And the animated toys...at first I didn't think I would like them, at all, but these have grown on me fast after watching them in motion in the clip and seeing these amazing toys. I love how they are so colorful and actually FEEL like animated toys. I MUST own every single one of them! I just really really love them ALL. Can't wait!

First off I went to Botcon but had to bail Saturday @ 6:00 pm so I missed the hasbro panle that previewed these toys. This is freakin fantastic! I love the animated toys. Why they are catching so much hell from most of you realy ponders me, but hey; to each their own I dig the diversity of our little community. Being an old(just turned 32 Tuesday)school fan, I realy like the classics 2.0. The only thing I'm meh on are the movie repaints, but hey loads of you dig 'em so buy them up I say. My fav all time transformer is Soundwave and I absolutley give him my gold star seal of approvle. I mean an electric guitar that turns into laserbeak! Are you shitting me? God bless the designers for keeping it fresh and new after all this time. TX
