Awesome detail and the articulation looks great. I don't presently own Energon Onslaught, Brawl, or Vortex. Can someone tell me their pro's and con's? For instance, do they have just as much articulation compared to the pictures of Swindle and Vortex?

Fansproject really are starting to take the mick with the quality of their designs. The guys at Hasbro should be hanging their heads in shame. Still not sure whether I'm wanting these sets. Sure, Fansproject's two figures are amazing, but they make the rest of the figures in the Bruticus set look really weak. I wonder if Fansproject have to pay Hummer for using their vehicle's image in their own product.

And where the hell has Protector gone??

Well they aren't quite as articulate as the FP figures seem personally the energon molds aren't bad.

IMO

The Barricade/Heatwave/Onslaught mold is nice, as mentioned before his head is too different that G1 Onslaught but you can do way more with him. Combiner wise I find it the most stable of the torso molds.

The Tank mold, I find a bit flimsy, and he does have kibble, but it hangs well. Beyond that his robot mode is decent, but I personally don't care for his vehicle mode.

The Choppers are one of the nicer energon combiner molds, solid in both modes, makes a great leg but suffers as an arm, however the FP set will correct this.

If FP remakes all of them it will look great, but with the two they are doing, the existing pieces will still make an impresive figure

This is a def buy for me, I got the ROTF bruticus and one of the helicopter figures is assembled wrong, so this is a good way to correct that issue for me. I am hoping both these figures come out soon cause they look sweet!! =P~

^ That's the whole truth on these molds. The only place where I can disagree is the tanks and their 'wings'/cape, you know, the tread parts. They get in the way a bit too much for my personal liking, but all things considered the Energon Combaticons (i.e, these figures) are the best of the Energon combiner figures, and Bruticus is the best of the combined robots.

Another excellent upgrade by Fansproject, much more extensive than the Crossfire set. Can't wait to get my hands on it.

Btw, I think his gun looks more like an anti-materiel rifle than just your standard sniper rifle.

Crossfire 2 with the add-ons, and that sweet sniper rifle.
C2 Set A- with "Blast-off"
C2 Set B- with "Swindle"

This one won't be cheap, but damn it looks like it will be worth it.

Hasbro said the magic barrier for third party figures/add-ons is $100 dollars. By breaking this set up (if that's what's happening here), FP is steering clear of the eye of Hasbro/Takara.

Excellent news! If they are releasing them separately, I can get my extra Swindle! I emailed them about it (and the Protector) when I get an answer, it'll be time to do the dance of joy!

I can't believe there are actual complaints that the toys will look better then the 2 other limbs in the set. REALLY? That's like saying, "awe man, I won a million dollars and all I need is $20,000 to pay off my school loan. Poop." :?

I have to disagree with this. I think it's the other way around.

As an arm, the thing stays together without pressure and creates a 5-finger hand.

As a leg, the figure becomes balanced on the energon piece which by virute of the pose required, the joint, and the molding becomes unstable.

You either put the small toe side on the front, where it is slightly more stable (and wrong by the transformation) and looks horrible, or you put the small toe side on the back and completely compromise stability. I really dislike the helicopter leg config.

Well aside from being more then impressed by the addition of Swindle to the upgrade kit (which we all knew was going to happen) I'm surprised and pleased that FP will be releasing the set in two parts, although I didn't see it coming.

I'm hoping FP releases some more "artwork" for Swindle like they did for Explorer so we can get a better look at the face and paint scheme. I also hope they release the set name for Swindle so people stop calling him Set B. ha ha ha.

This is honestly on the top of my must have list for 2010. I just picked up Bludgeon and now he feels less then impressive. :P

Oh, and if you try e-mailing FansProject and want a response don't hold your breath.

I am thinking about this set for that very reason, I want a classics Swindle and Blast-off to go with Onslaught, but I like the look of Bruticus overall. Is there really any way to justify getting 2 of each set, but then haveing all the extra Bruticus parts? And if I only bought one set I would have the rest of energon bruticus just sitting in a box somewhere, and again the Bruticus parts not getting used, because Energon Brawl and Vortex will look out of place standing next to the others. I can leave energoin onslaught in vehicle mode, but the others too?!

Decisions Decisions.

Strange, I've really not had an issue when they are in leg mode, and too be honest I do end up using them on the arms (sorry regardless of any physical issues I have with the mold, with the exception of Superion and Nexus by default, I dislike using aerial units as legs) and the energon pieces do make decent hands, But I find the cockpit assembly distracting the way it sits on the inside of the arm.
