Red Leader member of tfw2005 and owner of UK online store kapow-toys has posted something interesting about the Fans Project D.I.A. Commander armour set.

Got news this morning that the Fans Project DIA Commander is ready for release towards the end of this week / beginning of next.

On the wholesale side there has been a price increase of $35 which is to cover an as yet unidentified free gift and additional weapon for the armour.

I'm trying for pics and further details, as soon as I get them I'll post up

He also states that the weapon is rumoured to be shoulder missiles.

Also customers will not have to pay the extra $35 as this will be taken by the store, so don't worry about that price increase.

It's good that they're adding stuff to it. I'm pretty excited about it. On the downside, who's shouldering the extra $35? Was this included in the preorder price of $120 or will this pricepoint increase? If it was "free" why should there be an increase in the price? Shoulder missles? Is this different from the ones that are supposed to come with it in the first place?

It's not confirmed but he thinks that they might be the extra weapon that is mentioned.
The original Powered Convoy/Ultra Magnus has a missile launcher on each shoulder which all releases of the City Commander armour have been missing.

i don't forsee all retailers eating the markup in price. if THEIR cost gets raised, they'll raise the cost. the original post mentions 1 shop that won't up the price (which is honorable of them), but not every shop will have the same principles.

Interesting but considering sites like BBTS have been showing this set with the shoulder missiles for weeks now, not sure how they'll go back and justify the price increase. However, if true, I'm sure they'll find a way.

Guess we'll just have to see...

I am very tempted to buy this to with the City Commander set. Interestingly, I can buy this from the US (TFsource) and import it to the UK cheaper than I can buy it directly in the UK from Kapow! Its only £6 cheaper from TFsource mind you.

Wait, I thought the D.I.A. Commander Set came with all the same stuff the TFCon Exclusive Powered Commander came with. That being the energon haliburton and the should missle pods.

I'd be really interested if it was an actual different weapon. Oooo, or God Bomber Armor to go over top!

You know, this release was an easy pass for me until I read about extra weapons. I can't even justify buying another version of this to myself other than for the extra stuff. My girlfriend might literally punch me lol. Wait, that's not funny and I'm only half joking. Sheesh. If shoulder launchers are the only "extra", that isn't really extra is it? I was also under the assumption that DIA would NOT have the energon cache. This close to release and we don't know everything it comes with? I sorta AM pissed now. Mostly at my own ridiculous nature mind you.

I received mine this morning and there are no additional weapons with it. It does have the shoulder missiles so that's probably to which the rumour refers (as above).

Very pleased with it though. Chrome looks good and as I missed the City Commander set this makes a nice addition to my collection!

Oh, that's a bummer. Was looking forward to receiving a secret weapon.
