It was the 90s, if a toy wasn't garishly neon, then it wasn't good enough. Most of the G2 recolors were hideous. G.I.Joe didn't fair any better during this time either.
While I agree that the price tag is insane, if this is indeed real, then someone will get their hands on a piece of near mythology. But then, it is a prototype, and the back of the cards for the rest of the G2 Stunts show a motormaster was made.
