Why all the pessimism? If you need a solid G1 Prime, you can still get the Encore Prime for much less money than this one. Even if they had got the colors right, the Encore still gives the long smokestacks and is still cheaper and is just a better option in every possible way.

And this one does not look to be a horrible toy. Just not what we thought it would be.

Rhinox555- Ryan did not write a scathing review, nor was it posted in the news that he did. He was simply telling his POV on this toy trying to warn members before they blow $70 and say, "Why didn't anyone tell me?"

Fair ebnough, but even if it was exactly how we expected, the Encore is still more accurate (smokestacks) and cheaper. The only reason for buying this is the packaging, and that has not changed one bit. As Ryan said, if you leave it MISB, it is still a fun buy. If not, the Encore wins regardless based on price and accuracy. So really, nothing has been changed by the pink fudge up in my opinion.

One thing no one has covered yet is the DVD. Is it the reedited episodes from Rino, or another variation? I ask because this might tell us what to expect when we get a DVD release.

If you're spewing venom, which you seem to be, you either need to apologize or explain yourself.

I don't think you're a bad guy or anything, but you took this thread on a bad turn with some of your comments and you should man up and face that. The thread has long since been "derailed", unfortunately.

I'm sorry. My comment wasn't meant in an offensive way, bad choice of words i guess.

It was sarcasm. No, your hatred of this site and the people who run it is not surprising at all. You’re constantly picking at the staff and Ryan and I’m clueless as to why.

Like i said earlier, i'm not going to bring it up in this thread, it's a touchy subject. If you really want to know, just pm me about it or something.
And despite my anger against Ryan, my comment had nothing to do with that, i'd appreciate if you stopped turning my comment into something it's not. My comment was merely about the fact that he's bashing on a figure for one bad sample. If anything, Animated and Universe tought us that early samples carry flaws all the time.

I'm curious, other than the odd colour choices, is the actual manufacturing quality poor? My TFC 00 Prime lost a smokestack the day I got it and I don't fancy a repeat performance.

I'm disappointed to hear that what undoubtedly is slated as the flagship release for the 25th Anniversary line is so unpleasing. Not to sound like a horrible, evil man, but there are plenty of other Prime reissues to satify people in the wants for one, but it's really too bad this one may be a real stinker.

Ok, I'm sitting here with Prime in my hands. Opened, transformed and played with.... I realllllly don't honestly see where the complaints over this guy are coming from. In person, he isn't pink. He's more a sundae cherry red. His trailer is grey. Nowhere near white. I have no quality problems on mine. No loose legs, hands, parts and or pieces.

Everything on mine seems to be in order and for $70 I am very impressed. Especially as it comes with Prime, the sound box, a reprint of the original comic and the first three episodes of the cartoon all packaged in a nice box. This is only the second version of this figure I've owned (original being G2 Prime) and I could not be happier.

Ryan I have to say, I strongly disagree with your review. Aside from the colors (which don't bother me in the least) I don't notice any problems with him.

I'm going to wait until I actually see this Prime on shelves (maybe a week or so, if he's really already out already) before I actually make up my mind one way or another. Based on the gallery, I see the point about paint apps not being what they should be for this kind of release, but a collector shouldn't rule this out at least for having an MISB Prime.

20 years of buying transformers, and thanks comes in the form of being slapped in the face by sloppy paint apps, weak and overused mold repaints, shoddy construction (joints in particular, and now the utter destruction of the legacy of my first transformer. There is no excuse that is acceptable when it comes to a sad reissue. No wonder Hasbro is going after all the knock-offs; they want to sell them themselves. Optimus Prime has been murdered once again, and so I say so long hasbro, and bite me. :-x

Well I saw 25th Anniversary Optimus Prime today at toy r us and ryan pictures don't do the crappyiness of this figure justice. I really wanted to like the figure don't get me wrong but there is nothing good about this figure they even messed up prime gun how do screw something like that up. I could go on but I figure everyone will at some point see it for themselves.
