He also has a darker metallic blue but that isnt as obvious from the pics.

I saw this post yesterday, and spent a couple seconds before leaving for work this morning looking at my Magnus. I cannot stop looking at his crotch now.

Yeah, it's a bunch of previously released molds with "slight" touch ups on the paint apps, but I had to have it after viewing this set at SDCC this past July. It's quite impressive. I own previous releases of these molds sans the CW Ultra Magnus and I had been wanting to pick him up but never found him on store shelves. Can't wait, as mine will be arriving this Friday the 11th. I'll be displaying this set along side the G1 molds of these figures, minus Arcee for obvious reasons. One of my favorite movies of all time. :BOT:

Received my replacement Platinum Seeker set and I really like it. The bots look only ok, and the parts-forming is annoying, but I understand why and accept it. But I really dig the metal giving the figures some bulk, and the plane-modes are glorious. I'm not a big sticker guy, but I think I'll have to put these on. So thus far I love this set and the Predaking set. This has made me just about ready to pull the trigger on the Insecticons platinum set. Any other Platinum G1 sets worth looking into?

Just finished unboxing and transforming all of my Liokaiser components, and - as of right now - Dezarus' joints are soooo nice and tight. All of the deluxe's joint are tight too, this is especially nice for Killbison and Drillhorns' ab sections. And all the paint work is just to die for, this set truly feels like a 'Platinum' release, just on paint apps alone, they're everywhere =P~

Haven't combined them yet, want them to warm up a little after being in the cold weather travelling for the whole week, and I have to get to work. Will update you guys later, but I will say that - based on my experience alone - this set is a nice way to experience a better qc version of sky lynx and brawl.

And on a side note, I do not have a problem with unset paint on the soft rubber of my figures, I was wary of that and fiddled with them with a glasses lens cleaning cloth and then used my hands, and found no problems.
I am not a G1 fan, please treat my opinions as such.

The perceptor and Blaster set. I think it's awesome and it also has tons of value since it has 5 G1 toys at once with a ton of accessories, some even exclusive to the set. You can still find it for a good price on e-bay.

Further into my playing with Liokaiser, my Hellbats knees are to loose to hold up the arm in combined mode, but, whatever. The more interesting part, is that the heads are not designed in such a way as to allow for alternate limb configuration with ease. They can alternate limb configurations with full clearance, but Guyhawks head has to be tilted all the way back, and the tank bro's need to be tilted upward under the turret in arm mode so as to not collide with their own pelvis'.

Still an awesome set - definitely worth it, the tighter joints on Dezarus really help, but he's still top heavy unfortunately. The limbs do look great on Galvatronus though :x

The Hellbat issue may not be one that affects the figure in general, because mine is fine. Both his and Guyhawks legs don't peg together very well, so I've got that going on, but the knees are fine.

I cannot believe that people think that this ridiculous drillbit thing on Brawl is somehow a more acceptable Nosecone than the Unite Warriors one. I know that's off topic for this thread, but Drillhorn is my first exposure to the mold and mod, and boy does it suck. Drillhorn is cool, but having UW Nosecone, I can't accept this as a Nosecone figure at all.

Also, this set is my first Arms Micron exposure. I'm not all that impressed.

I'm well aware that what plagues one figure might not affect another, just reporting on mine ;)^

That sucks though that your figures' legs won't peg together, I don't think that any of my cw figs had that issue.

Also, this set is my first Arms Micron exposure. I'm not all that impressed.

Well, they were just simple model kits...

Yeah, but I'd heard a lot of good things about them in the however many years since they were first released, so I suppose all of that had influenced my thoughts of what they were. People often spoke highly of them, so I assumed that meant the were things worthy of being spoken highly of. I'm sorry, I guess?

Some of the Arms Microns might have been praiseworthy enough on this own (I don't recall hearing such about the Gul mold, though), but I think most of the praise came from potential created by having many Arms Microns, as a bunch of different ones together as a collective offered a wider range of playability via the many diverse weapon combinations that one could create from having multiple different Arms Microns.

I hope someone sells those Autobots separately on eBay for not horrible prices. I want that Ultra Magnus (provided they've fixed the QC issues with him) but I'm not really interested in the others. I wanna get Sandstorm rather than Springer, Blurr doesn't sit that mold, I've already got PRID Kup who's a pretty good toy, and Arcee, as good as she looks there, doesn't come with her weapons aside from her swords in that release.

That packaging art looks super spiffy. Sadly I'm torn between getting it or CW Devastator. Both are about the same amount.

Heads up, guys. New Platinums incoming!

Year of the Rooster Optimus Prime - uses the TakaraTomy The Transformers: Hybrid Style THS-02 G1 Convoy mold from 2006.

Unicron - We've seen glimpses of this thing, but now it truly looks to just be a straight reissue of the Amazon.com exclusive TFTM 25th Anniversary Special Edition Unicron figure from 2011, albeit in brand new packaging.

Year of the Rooster Optimus Prime: quite an interesting choice in molds. If Platinum Rodimus Prime is any indication, we can expect the die cast to be retained. He's small though, about Legends sized in robot mode.

Unicron: A second chance in getting him, but at a higher price... Sigh. Notice how the Mini-Con is still called Kranix :-P
The resident Rewind... well, half of one

- TR Furos (Hardhead's head) and Crashbash (lost him :()
- PotP Punch head
- TR Galvatron right arm (the gun one)
- CW Brake-Neck/UW Wildrider, CW Offroad
- TR Twinferno & Grotusque
- Greenlight, Lancer and PotP Elita-1 (plus repro Victorion hands and feet?)

In Package Images of Platinum Edition Unicron with Kranix

The official images of the Platinum Edition Unicron with Kranix were shown way back here - but it looks like they may have not been entirely correct: according to site sponsor Robot Kingdom's recent images of the figure in its box, the colours are different from the Amazon release of the toy! The box makes the set fit in the same Transformers: The Movie 30th anniversary celebration as the Autobot Heroes set, too, and includes all of the features of previous releases of the devourer of worlds. Check it out below.
