Sabrblase is not alone in seeing Teal (I do as well). I think we should take Kurona's advice. I doubt either side is going to convince the other side in this one.

I learned about eight years and 965,125,478,936 paragraphs ago that I'll never change the mind of Sabrblade haha.

I guess my lasting point though is that there is definitely some different coloring in much of the cartoon of Kup compared to the toys. Whether you think it's dull teal.or dark teal or gray it's definitely less bright than Kup toys have been.

Then again, Robot Masters was pretty much the only line to ever color Thundercracker like he was in the cartoon. It's amazing how much we grumble about repaints when there is always room for more.

I did the test it says I have : "Tritanomaly/Tritanopia"

Tritan-type color blindness is characterized by a loss of color discrimination for shades of blue and yellow.

I don't know if there was any ringers in the test but there was 2 I couldn't see any numbers at all and 3 I could see a difference but not make the number out if it was say an 8 or a 6 or a 0.

This one I can just make the number out.. I won't say what it is though if someone wants to say if they can ID it if they are seeing Gray Kups too.

So It looks Like I got at least 2 wrong.... natural ageing I guess.

I then took the test again and it said :

Normal Color Vision

"You were able to see the hidden shape in all or nearly all of the test conditions. This indicates a high probability of having normal color vision."

If anyone want's to put me out of my misery and tell me what the images say I'd be curious to know.

I did an interview with Hasbro/Transformers Design Manager John Warden and one of the subjects we discussed was this very set. He mentioned that for the U.S.release it will be a Target exclusive. Looks even better in person. https://youtu.be/630Ylcbf0zQ

Did anyone notice that the set is no longer listed as even being available on the website? It says they have no listing for that product. Maybe it was up sooner than they meant it to be? If it was sold out the page still would have come up.

It might be. EE's overall more expensive route is one of the reasons I haven't shopped there in many years.

Wasn't it Robot Kingdom that had a data breach a few years ago? (I'm sure it would be fixed by now, but things like that jade me for a while...) These days, for a number of reasons, I limit my purchases from just a few online retailers. So, it'll likely be a price comparison between EE and BBTS...

To be totally honest, with these platinum sets the best bet is to just get them on e-bay. Amazon is good when its their exclusive, but they are the only ones who make it worthwhile. Target sure doesnt and BBTS exclusives are only worthwhile when they go on clearance (which they often do ). All these platinums have been more advantageous to just get on e-bay 6 months later. They produce so many in Asia that the retailers just put them there for westerners to buy and have free shipping too. Just go on e-ay and search Platinum transformers and you'll se what i meanw ith those listings from Hong Kong.

Liokaiser for $110? That's really not bad, only like $15-20 more than what would be retail.

I will wait on him a bit, but also EE has free shipping on orders over $70 (which I have used, and my shipping from there has been cheaper than BBTS)

Then wait for EE. He will probably be more expensive than 110 (like 125) but the shipping from Robot Kingdom is insane.

Remember that prices at Robot Kingdom are always less, they arent indicative of the MSRP for stateside vendors.

I'm surprised he's going for 110. Isn't Computron even more expensive than that?

But Computron is not a toy handled by hasbro asia, unlike the platinum sets. It gets really wonky but the main trend has been that Platinum tys always cost less on Robot Kingdom.

All of the Combiner Wars box sets are $110 on Entertainment Earth AND Robot Kingdom. I don't expect EE's price for Liokaiser to be any different even if it is Platinum. I feel like Hasbro is only using the Platinum moniker as a way to retire the Combiner Wars name, not an excuse to jack up the prices.

I guess they were looking at new content per figure (3, counting Scrounge, for Computron and 5 for Liokaiser), plus Liokaiser is more niche/obscure compared to the rest and thus deserves a spot in a more... collectible line? I don't know what's going on inside Hasbro heads

But back to the original point I'd like to think Hasbro isn't underestimating us enough to think they can charge more for Liokaiser just because they slipped the word "platinum" in at the bottom of the box. Guess we'll find out when EE starts taking pre-orders, but I'm expecting $110.
