Animated next month? Awesome, it'll hold us over until the movie comes out.
Deluxe and Voyager Constructicons... don't know what I'll do with them and a giftset being released.
Breakaway jet? Sounds cool.
Can't wait for more!

I thought they retconned the guy from the first movie into Brawl for everything except the original theatrical prints. So they'll just call this guy Devastator now.

Ryan's galleries are always phenomenal, so just wait a while and you'll get shots of every freaking angle, zoomed in, zoomed out, with peanut butter and jelly, etc.

Be Patient Nightbolt. Cyber Bishop said that they will be up later today.
I saw the same picture you saw Muffin, I don't know what to think yet. Hopefully Ryan's pictures will be better quality and better angles too.

TheMuffin wrote:Saw that same image. I honestly don't think that's the $100 figure. Doesn't seem to be the one made from the Voyagers. The shoulder treads are completely different from what are seen on the shovel constructicon we saw already.
I'm pretty sure its gonna be that Devastator from the RPM track set. I remember a descroption of one of those sets that came with a big Devastator.
Theres no way that the one in that pic is bigger than at least a $50 Supreme, so theres no way (IMO) that it could be it.
The only way that could be a combiner is if the box came with 2 pre made arms, 2 pre made legs, some torso pieces and a head that you need to assemble. XD
We'll see though

did you see the guy's hand next to it for scale? It looked pretty big to me.

Glad Ryan has pics coming. Cool of dude to take a pic with his hand in it to give a size reference, but how about a pic showing the whole thing first THEN the hand size reference one in addition...

Thats unfortunate...its more of a display piece I guess
to brighen up everyone's day, Jetfire is confirmed to be one of 3 leader class figs.
Transformers Collectors Club wrote:TRANSFORMERS MOVIE FIGURES
(Approximate retail price: starting from $12.99; Ages: 5 & up; Available: Summer 2009)
For more than 25 years, TRANSFORMERS action figures have been known for their “MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE” play pattern, with robots converting into vehicles, and then back to robots again. In 2009, TRANSFORMERS movie action figures featuring the new film’s most popular characters will be available in three scales: DELUXE, VOYAGER (larger scale), and LEADER (largest scale and includes lights and sounds). DELUXE includes 24 characters, VOYAGER will offer 11 characters, and LEADER will feature three, including OPTIMUS PRIME and JETFIRE.

Fixed because it is from Toyfair in NYC. Yes, there will be more pics then you can possibly want, so just be patient.

How is that new? We already knew that.
And no its not lame. Voltron was uber-cool, Both Cats and Vehicle Voltrons.
And I for one am pleased. This means the combiner doesn't need to accommodate added robot modes which leaves room, for articulation, and other essentials in a large multi-unit robot.
And that means that the non-combining units get to look more like the movie counterparts, instead of sacrificing something for the ability to combine. Which regardless of whether or not you like Demolishor, is clearly working there as he looks extremely close to what he looked like in the movie Trailer.

I was under the impression it was all just speculation and rumor up to this point, but whatev. And Voltron was cool, but I wouldn't drop 100 bucks on him. More for you...it's all good. I would venture to guess more would have been interested in him as a true gestalt, though, being Transformer fans and all.

Uber-Fail
I hate to use the F word, but I'm really sick of Hasbro's defeatist attitude when it comes to gestalts. "We can't do it".
That just kills virtually all interest I had in Devastator. What's wrong with them. They're even lame enough to blame it on the economy. Sorry Hasbro, excuses are for losers.
This should've been the one kick-ass toy to rule them all. If they'd actually gone for it and pulled it off, it'd be just the thing to make everyone forget about the whole stupid financiapocolypse.
I dunno, maybe I'm overreacting, but considering it's their most expensive combiner ever you don't expect them to take the cop-out route.

Tformers even has pictures of the two devastators, the lame stand-up version and the 2-feet "Voltron" version, as well as some of the constructicons:

The difference between the non-transforming Rampage (brrr.... that's not a constructicon name...) and the transforming one is clear.

From those pics, it looks to me like it's about the size of RID Omega Prime, if you glued a few Build Team members onto his arms.

I'm working on my photos. As for Transformers, only ROTF products were on display. No Animated or Universe unfortunately. Look for my TF pics in a couple of hours.
For you G.I.Joe fans, I took a ton of photos of their products. I will be posting a full blown Joe gallery later tonight or tomorrow.
Hasbro's official images of Marvel, Star Wars and G.I.Joe will also be posted throughout the weekend. Transformers first!

I refuse to buy this disgusting excuse for Devastator unless they release one that has individual robot modes and a gestalt mode.
Thanks for saving me $100, Hasbro.

First-Aid wrote:I'm still not sure if that is the actual Dev Supreme package. But to everyone who is naysaying, think of it this way. How complex do we want them to be? Really complex! Make it real! how complex can the TARGET AUDIENCE handle? Not very. Combiners are not complicated for a reason- if they are too complex then they simply are not fun to play with because it takes too long to change them! The G1 Omega Supreme and Jetfire figs are pretty rare...because they didn't sell as well back in the day- they were too complex for the target audience. Maybe Takara will get ahold of these and make a MP type fig, but for the time being, Hasbro did what they could with what they had. I'll cut em some slack on that point. And who knows, maybe we'll see a Premium line Dev...
Please, stop. You're just throwing out unsupported assertions here. I'll point you at RID Landfill and Rail Racer as examples of better combiners. Not that complex, but they stil managed individual robot modes.
You know why Omega and Jetfire didn't sell well? They were expensive. Toys that size aren't expected to sell as well as toys in lower price brackets. The toys were hardly "complex" by modern standards, or even by the standards of the day.

Both versions are the lame version. There's the expensive lame version that could've been cool and the even lamer version that was always intended to be lame.
For all the compromises in $100 devestator, neither bot nor alt modes are good.
At any rate, there's gotta be some consolation. Maybe there'll be legends Constructicons. And if the voyager and deluxe transforming constructicons don't combine, I'm sure kit-bashers will find a way to make it work.

I won't be buying the transforming figures for two reasons. 1.) Really out of scale, 2.) They're ugly as sin.
I don't like that they don't combine, except for the Zordistator, (and even then it's just the vehicle modes to combined robot) but apparently you can't have everything.
The pickins is slim this year. Not amused.
